Pre-Wedding Photoshoot – A Beach Picnic

When this fabulous photographer and old friend approached me for her Pre-Wedding Photoshoot — and eventually her wedding — I couldn’t have been happier. Being signed up by a fellow photographer is truly one of the highest compliments a wedding photographer can get.

Planning the Shoot
A few weeks later, after contracts and formalities, we started planning Neha & Kunal’s pre-wedding shoot. Ideas flew around — some “not possible on a beach,” others “can’t be done in one day.” From scuba themes to multiple beach options, we finally narrowed it down to a realistic plan: a beach-villa at Nagaon, near Alibaug, with an SUV-load full of props and outfits.
The day started with crazy traffic and long queues at the Mumbai ferry terminal (thank you, 26th January holiday!). Thanks to some clever “jugaad” from Neha’s assistant, Jitu, we were finally on the next boat and headed to Alibaug. After a quick brunch, the real fun began.

The Sessions
Session 1 – Picnic Vibes
A relaxed, playful afternoon around the villa. Guitars, cameras, and a couple effortlessly being themselves — capturing natural, candid moments.
Session 2 – Sunset Smoke Bombs
Colored smoke bombs added drama and vibrancy, while the setting sun provided that perfect golden glow. Life-threatening at times? Maybe. Worth it? Absolutely.

Session 3 – Post-Sunset Chill
By this time, the couple was exhausted from travel and posing, but we managed a few magical, soft-light shots as the day transitioned into evening.
Neha & Kunal’s energy and chemistry made the shoot effortless — two artists creating magic together, with guitars, cameras, and color-filled smoke as their props.
