Samode Palace is undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking destination wedding venues near Delhi & Jaipur. Restored in 1987 by Rawal Raghavendra Singh and Yadavendra Singh, descendants of the royal family, the palace is a living piece of history. With its intricate hand-painted walls, mirror work, stone-paved courtyards, and Mughal-inspired gardens, Samode offers the perfect blend of heritage charm and modern luxury.
For me, Samode is extra special. It’s where I shot my very first big destination wedding, followed by one of my most-loved pre-wedding shoots. And this time, I had the joy of capturing Ashima & Karan’s intimate winter wedding — a celebration filled with love, warmth, and unforgettable memories.

The Celebrations
Mehendi Brunch – Samode Bagh The festivities began with a sunlit brunch-mehendi at the lush Samode Bagh lawns. Crisp winter sunshine, sangria & beer, live bangle-making, laughter, and impromptu dance performances set the tone for a vibrant start.
Cocktail & Sangeet – Mughal Gardens
As the sun set, guests gathered at the grand Mughal Gardens facing the palace entrance. Bonfires, heartfelt dance performances, and a flashback medley of Ashima & Karan’s journey together created an evening full of nostalgia and joy. The celebrations carried on into a lively poolside after-party that lasted till dawn.
Wedding Day – Traditions & Royal Grandeur
The morning began with Karan’s Haldi at Samode Bagh and Ashima’s Choora ceremony at the palace courtyard. Later, Karan made a majestic baraat entry on an elephant, just like the kings of the Mughal era, with drums and trumpets leading the way.
Ashima, escorted by her brothers and cousins, made a graceful entrance to the courtyard. Their garland exchange, complete with playful teasing and fireworks lighting up the palace steps, was pure magic.
The wedding rituals took place under a beautifully adorned mandap by the poolside. From heartfelt speeches to a joyous reception, and finally a vintage car bidai, Ashima & Karan’s wedding was the perfect blend of tradition, elegance, and celebration.
